Professor of Business Policy at ESADE Business School (Madrid, Spain) and since 2001 Visiting Professor of Leadership at INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France), José Luis Alvarez has also been Visiting Professor at Harvard Business School, where he taught the “Power and Influence” MBA elective course.
His research has been published in the European Management Journal, Organization Studies, Organizations, Corporate Governance, and he has published and contributed chapters to many books.
He contributes frequently to the media, on issues of organization and leadership.
Alvarez’s consulting experience has centered mostly on issues of change and governance for globally operating firms.
José Luis Alvarez holds degrees in Law and Philosophy from the University of Barcelona, an MBA from IESE Business School, and a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University.
