Professor of Business Policy at ESADE Business School, Visiting Professor at INSEAD and at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School. José Luis Alvarez has also been Visiting Professor at Harvard Business School, where he taught the “Power and Influence” MBA elective course.
Author or publisher of eight books, his academic research has been published in the Sloan Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organization Studies, Organizations, Corporate Governance, and he has contributed chapters to many edited books.
He is a frequent presence in the media such as La Vanguardia, El Pais, and others, on issues of organization and leadership.
Alvarez’s consulting experience has centered on issues of change and governance.
José Luis Alvarez holds degrees in Law and Philosophy from the University of Barcelona, an MBA from IESE Business School, and a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University.
